About Empire Dance Empire Dance offers Friendly, Qualified Instruction, a professional, newly remodeled studio, a full schedule of dance classes for all ages. Our goals are to provide education, training, experience and cultivate healthy outlooks on body image, artistic expression, self-awareness and learning. We want students and parents to find the enjoyment and confidence that comes from learning to express their dreams through the performing arts.

Alexis Black has grown up in Lake Mary, FL. With a true passion for dance, she began competing at the age of 7. She trained with some of the best choreographers in the country including Deborah Barnes, Rj Mitchell, Mandy Moore, and Nick Lazzarini. From the age of 14, Alexis toured the country choreographing with Deborah Barnes . In the summer of 2009 Alexis interned with world renowned studio Broadway Dance Center in New York City. Alexis has performed in several productions with Hardrive Productions Inc. out of Orlando, FL and also spent a year as a dancer at Disney World . A graduate of University of Central Florida, Alexis began teaching and choreographing at the age of 16 and has found a true love for sharing her passion of dance with her students.
Alexis teaches dance classes and fitness classes, is Lead Choreographer for competition routines, solos and the new EMPIRE DANCE COMPANY, and choreographs for the Show Choir and Musical Theater routines.
